ABOUT
My work is diverse, simple in many ways, and explores people, work, life and the world around us working in commercial and documentary photography.
I look to apply a natural ad-hoc aesthetic to producing creative images that allows for individual interpretation, a sense of meaning and often humour. Documentary photography captures personal stories that otherwise would go unknown and unnoticed. The art of photo-documentary is to replicate the essence of a situation, and this has always been my goal.
I attempt to seize candid moments, as I believe it exposes stronger, more realistic characteristics about the subject. I find myself looking to capture the decisive second of posed and unposed life. To succeed in this and to be able to document the outside world the approach I take is to become transparent to my subject, and be in the right place at the right time.
